Skaven vs Possessed, the 12th (FINAL) Skirmish!

On Monday, September 16, 2024 , Jay’s Possessed battled with Matt’s skaven amid the rubbled streets of Mordheim! The Possessed were passing through a neighbourhood within the Poor Quarter, when the Skaven sought to stop their progress! And Scenario 4: Breakthrough began! This scenario had already been played twice before, first between Jay’s Possessed and Greg’s Witch Hunters, and the second time between Perry’s Reiklanders and Matt’s Skaven (in a similar situation, with the Reiklanders needing to break through the darn ratmen!). A standard scenario. Jay’s Possessed set up first along one table edge, and Matt’s Skaven set up anywhere on the table, as long as each of his warriors were at least 8” away from any Possessed figures. Winning Conditions : Jay’s Possessed were designated as the “attackers” with the goal of two of his warband reaching the opposite side of the table, thus making a “break through” enemy lines to safety! Witch Hunters vs Reiklanders! The 11th Skirmish!

On Monday, July 22, 2024 (almost 3 months since the last skirmish!) Greg’s Witch Hunters and Perry’s Reiklanders were both in the middle of scavenging the ruined city, and were already on their way back to their respective camps with some wyrdstone, when both groups suddenly ran into each other in the Artisan Quarter. Weapons were drawn and warcries exchanged as warriors on both sides charged forwards! And Scenario 6: Chance Encounter began! This was the first time the scenario was played. A standard scenario from the core book, each warband is on their way back after already scavenging d3 wyrdstone (each warband in this case rolled 2). Witch Hunters set up first (after a d6 roll to determine who was first) in one quarter of the table. Reiklanders then set up in the opposite corner quarter, and couldn’t be closer than 12” to any enemy model (upon review...it appears I totally F'd up and had at least 3 figures in the wrong quarter, sigh. The Possessed vs Witch Hunters! The Tenth Skirmish!

  On Monday, April 29, 2024 , Jay’s Possessed clashed with Greg’s Witch Hunters in the search for treasure! Both warbands had collected rumours of a potential stash of gold and items in the neighbourhood southeast of Executioner’s Square. When both groups made their way into the area, weapons were drawn and warcries exchanged as both hurried to search the buildings! And Scenario 7: Hidden Treasure began! This scenario had already been played once before, between Jay’s Possessed and Matt’s Skaven.   A standard scenario. Each warband set up within 6” of an opposite table edge. The special rule here was about searching the ruined buildings on the board. Every time a warrior entered a building they could search by rolling 2D6 and on a 12 the treasure was found, otherwise the building was marked as ransacked. If a 12 was not scored by the time only one building was left to search, the treasure chest was automatically in there. Carrying the heavy chest reduced a warrior’s movemen...
