Mordheim Mondays

  Ruined houses lined the streets of Mordheim now, empty of their contents save for rats and other unsavoury vermin. While others stood somewhat intact, the majority were shells of their former selves. Crumbling plaster walls, shattered windows, crumbled piles of bricks, fire ravaged or otherwise. These domiciles were home to no one and nothing. But they continued to have a purpose, as hiding places and barricades for the warbands who now flooded the city looking for wyrdstone. Welcome to another Terrain Spotlight! This entry looks at two ruined houses that I built, based off the template from Eric's Hobby Workshop on YouTube! The smaller one was my first attempt, and actually was a failed attempt at the second one with the partial roof! Amidst the ruins of the street, an old fountain dedicated to some General now forgotten. Descecrated by enemies of the Empire, or those driven mad by wyrdstone. A victim lies nearby, slumped over the stones. A stark reminder of the brutality of the ruined city. This is Mordehim. No one is welcome.   Greetings! Our first skirmish, Monday, February 6, 2023 , was between Perry's Reiklanders and Jay's Cult of the Possessed. It was a night of learning the rules and showing off some new custom terrain. And bloodshed. The streets at the outer edge of the city of Mordheim were set for the first Monday night delve. Two warbands immediately ran into each other, a company of Reiklander mercenaries, and a band of Cultists of the Possessed! There was bloodshed, screams, and many knockouts! This area of the City of the Damned had a variety of obstacles, ruins and interesting structures. The two warbands emerged from opposite sides of the wide street once known as Klugenn Way, named for the fountain sporting the statue of General Klugenn who fought in one of the wars against the orc warlord Kragnox the Insufferable.
